Today is Mark’s Birthday so I am going to dedicate today’s post to him.
We spent this past weekend celebrating Mark’s birthday.
Friday we celebrated with our friends. I got us a hotel room (which just so happens to be right next door to the hospital I work at) downtown because I knew we would be drinking and didn’t want to deal with the hassle of getting back out to the suburbs. Mark met me at work; we got checked into the hotel, got ready then headed out for dinner.
I surprised Mark with reservations at Ditka’s – Mark’s a huge Bears fan and has always wanted to visit “Da Coach’s” restaurant. After dinner we met up with our friends at an Irish Bar in Old Town. It was so fun to see everyone and so nice to not have to worry about driving home.
Saturday we recovered. And ate homemade heart shaped pizza for Valentine’s Day!
Then on Sunday Mark’s parents came into town and took us out for a late lunch/early dinner. Afterwards they came over for cake. I decided this would be a football themed birthday with dinner at Ditka’s Friday night so I made his cake Chicago Bears themed and bought a couple of football themed birthday decorations too.
Tonight back to the usual routine, work then gym then home for dinner. Don’t worry we will most defiantly end the night with a piece of birthday cake!
There is no one in the world that I would rather be married to than this guy.
Happy birthday Mark Peterson, I love you so much!
